Talking Pyramids: Ancient Egyptian Pyramids

The cave saga continues with the news that the tomb NC2, otherwise refered to by Andrew Collins as the ‘Tomb of the Birds’ is now being officially investigated by an all Egyptian team lead by Dr Zahi Hawass.

This week Hawass stated in relation to the excavation:

“We are clearing this system now, and it is a Late Period catacomb, like many others around Egypt. There is no mystery about it, and there is no connection with esoteric topics. We will publish our results as part of our normal process.”

So it is still not clear if Hawass is speaking of the cave system or simply the tomb through which the naturally formed caves are entered. Collins wonders if by the using the term “system” Hawass is referring to the cave system and not the catacomb tomb itself.

Collns asks:

“Does his use of the term ‘system’ now suggest that he has found and entered the caves, which he previously denied even existed?”
