Khafre was the builder of the second pyramid on the Giza plateau. This diorite statue of Khafre was found by Mariette in the Granite temple near the Sphinx. It currently resides in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

Friday Photo: Graf Zeppelin Great Pyramid
