Ancient Egyptian Games: Mehen

Faulkner’s Concise Dictionary of Middle Egyptian gives the translation of the word ‘Mehen’ as literally meaning “coil” and is used in reference to the goddess Mehen, or ‘Coiled One’, and also the board game called Mehen.

Bennu Found Above ‘Gantenbrink’s Door’

Bennu was spotted by Wilks Rendai hovering around ‘Gantenbrink’s Door’ in the southern shaft of the Queen’s chamber in Khufu’s pyramid.

“It was his blue-green plumage that gave him away”. said Wilks.
