Status: Open.
Times: From May 1st to Ramadan: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and from 1 Ramadan – April 30th: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Prices: Entry to Saqqara field: LE60.
Included in the price of entry to Saqqara is access to the following:
- Imhotep Museum
- Djoser Pyramid Enclosure
- Pyramid of Teti
- Tomb of Mereruka (closed for restoration)
- Tomb of Kagemni
- Mastaba of Ti
- Tomb of Iy-Nefert
- Tomb of Ptahhotep
- Tomb of Unas-ankh
Be aware that some tombs occasionally close.
The ‘New Tombs’ include Iruka-ptah, Niankhkhnum & Khnumhotep and an additional ticket must be purchased to enter these tombs, the cost of which is LE30.
Photography is not allowed inside the tombs.
A Cafeteria and Gift Shop are currently under construction at museum.
The Serapeum is closed but it is said to open soon…although this was also said in 2009. The tombs of Maya and Horemheb and some other interesting places are also said to be opening soon.
