Photo of the Week – Unas Boat Pit
This week’s photo of the week is of the boat pit that lies beside the Unas Pyramid’s causeway, or processional ramp.
One of two, this boat pit is 44m long and is located 150m away from the remains of the funeral temple. Lined with limestone blocks these boat pits are thought to have been simulacra of solar boats.
