Talking Pyramids: Ancient Egyptian Pyramids

Luxor features quite a bit in today’s news and so I have added a beautiful photographic slideshow of the temple. Some of those night time views are astounding.

The VOCAB tweets from the past week are combined and presented as a chart on Flickr as usual and today’s chart features the Four Sons of Horus. Stay tuned to Talking Pyramids for an upcoming post on the Four Sons of Horus.

But perhaps the most puzzling item today is the insistance from Zahi Hawass that no photo ban exists at Egypt’s archaeological sites, assuring that photography is only banned from inside the tombs in order to save paintings from damage caused by the cameras’ flash.
