Ancient Egypt News for Tuesday 15-12-09
News of a another death this week with the director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Thomas Hoving. Hoving was responsible for reinventing the museum, including a major reinstallation of it’s Egyptian wing. He was 78.

Egypt asks the British Museum for the return of the Rosetta Stone and in other news France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy handed his Egyptian counterpart Hosni Mubarak one of five “steles” that were chipped off a wall painting in the 18th dynasty tomb of Tetiky.
