Talking Pyramids

Nora Shalaby has some interesting photos of inside the recently restored Carter House, and another beautiful photo from Libyan Soup, this time of Anubis in the Great Temple of Set at Abydos, and Kate brings us another photo from the Valley of the Kings.

Pepsi’s hiring out of the Medinet Habu Temple at Luxor came as a surprise to me as I was unaware Egypt hired out temples for private functions. Apparently this is the last time this will happen.

Just for something different today I have posted a recipe for that popular Egyptian dish Koshary. I practically lived on Koshary and Tamias (little pocket bread with salad and fellafel) while in Egypt. Very cheap, filling and tasty. While on the topic of Koshary, Egypt has it’s own version of that fictional & satirical news site, The Oinion. It’s called…..El Koshary Today.
