Ancient Egypt News for Thursday 10-12-09
There are a few more photos, this time one of the Book of the Dead of Hunefer, more hieroglyphs from a magical papyrus, another photograph from the temple of Medinet Habu and a peice on Sandro Vannini’s Photo Collection of Egyptian Culture, Antiquities and Historic Sites.
The Rosetta Stone saga continues with Hawass explaining to the BBC in frustration: “We are not the pirates of the Caribbean. We are a civilised country.”
Following on from yesterday’s story about ‘Archaeochemistry’ today there is an article about a recent study on the hair shafts of ancient Peruvian samples.
