Talking Pyramids

The Pyramid Texts Online website has a collection of photos of the Unas Pyramid. At the top of the Photos page is an embedded interactive satellite image of the Saqqara area that is used to display some of the images. Each image is positioned according to the photographer’s location.

There is also a Google Earth file that you can download and run if you have Google Earth installed on your computer. If you don’t already have Google Earth installed then you can download it for free when prompted. Like the embedded Google Map page, the Google Earth file presents the images in situ but with the ability to move around in three dimensions.

A second Google Earth file has now been added to provide a flyby tour of the area.
